00:02 Love "Seven And Seven"

01:58 The Flaming Lips "Fight Test"

From the Wikipedia:
The song "Fight Test" is musically very similar to Cat Stevens's 1970 song "Father and Son." Stevens, now Yusuf Islam, is receiving royalties following a relatively noncontentious settlement. The band's frontman, Wayne Coyne, claims that he was unaware of the songs' similarities until producer Dave Fridmann pointed them out.

  2. OK, Mocket's "Pro Forma" is one of my all time favorite albums, and I too had no idea that "Magic And Ecstasy" was a cover, let alone an Ennio Morricone song. I'm listening right now and having a hard time wrapping my brain around this being the original. Has shades of the Star Trek battle them too (y'know, the one they play when Kirk and Spock square off in "Amok Time"). Wow.
